Dear Members,
Football Wagga Wagga Management Committee have received a number of complaints over the past few weeks with spectator behaviour at Junior games.
Therefore it is felt that all club members should be reminded of codes of conduct adopted over previous years from FNSW and the Australian Sports Commission.
Clubs are asked to distribute the attached document to all members and also remind them that parents and spectators are not permitted:
> Behind backline and goalposts.
> Within or in close proximity of the technical area.(this area is for coaches and players only)
Football Wagga Wagga Management Committee support fair play in Junior sport and have a zero tolerance policy to sledging or criticism of our young players on match day. The committee encourage spectators to enjoy our junior games and applaud all good play by both teams, appreciate club volunteers who are coaching our players and the match officials, especially our juniors as it is through the spectators positive attitude shown to these members that our players and match officials enjoy their games and develop good self esteem of themselves and self confidence.
Please forward to your members and as club volunteers help promote fair play within our code with your clubs spectators.
Thank you
Donna Baker
